Didn't Ford go to double crimp at least sometime in 70 production?

Bob,
that would be a good question for David @DSD and Ed Meyer, I know they spent a lot of time on getting the details right. As far as I am aware the C8ZZ fronts were used into 70 production and were still listed as service replacements in the August 1970 MPC. By then the rear service part is listed as a D0ZZ. Would there have been a change in the part/engineering number for a different style crimp?

As of March 1970 DAP was still using single crimp on rear axle (not sure up front).

David at DSD told me he thinks it was 1972 that the double crimp was first used.

single crimp still being used thru 71 anyway on brake hoses and later service replacements and aftermarket hoses were double crimp. The 70 rear was unique mainly the mounting bracket design and angle change but the front was the same as 68 69 but the brass top was rounded off where as the 68 69 was squared off a running change but still same hose.

Bringing this topic back to life.  Looking for some info./restoration or a supplier for front rubber brake hoses - bracket from chassis to caliper.  The part is available as a reproduction, but can it be restored?  Please see photos.  July 1970 San Jose car.
