I picked up an NOS mirror for the car and spent some time getting the inserts installed in the door. Fortunate that friend loaned me the tool to install them and with no directions but a little guess work figured it out. Now I'm faced with another problem. There are 5 gaskets included in the box. 2 are really thick, one is medium thick, one thin and one extra thin. Ford directions not really much help. But directions do have part numbers and some of the gaskets have them as well. They are
C7AB-A Thinest ?
C7OB-A Thin
C8OB-A 2nd Thickest
C8OB-B Thickest
C9AB-A Medium
The thickest C8OB-B seems to fit nice into the concave portion of the door nicely but its thick. Dont remember seeing one on the door like this but it was a loooooong time ago.
