My wife's 2014 recently came up with a computer issue. No crank, no start. DYI scan tools came up with some codes but no fixes. I found a software app online that came highly recommended as dealer level troubleshooting. Fordscan.org has free software that and a $35 cable, one can do quite a bit of diagnostics using the OBDII port.
Looking online, I found a YouTube video showing how to engage the starter relay. Pretty simple to do, much like the sw-3 starter solenoid on the older cars. Funny thing, key on and jumper the relay, it starts and runs! So much for needing a computer. Engine fires based on crank sensor signal.
It will be interesting to see what the final fix is.
