     Thanks Marcus.  Always great to know where to look.  The rear bumper on my car has been re chromed.  Are the date code imprints visible from the other side ?  Brian

Brian - Yes, date codes are only visible from the backside of the bumper.  You would need to get in there with a dental mirror to see the date codes when it is mounted on the car.  But you can at least see in the picture you posted here yours is an original.

Great article Marcus. No difference on 69/70 Shelby rear bumper but unique 69/70 Shelby front bumper.

Bob - your absolutely right.  The rear bumpers are the same part number on Shelby and Mustang.  I was updating information on the front bumpers today and missed that.  Good eye....
