« on: April 10, 2011, 07:43:59 PM »
i'm digging deeper into my newly acquired 71 sportsroof j code 4 speed. has a rusty battery tray- rotted out corner!.  are those repo's close? what i've seen from vendor's pics the profile is different. are they the same as used on the early 70's torino . remnants of battery ok sticker. no caution fan sticker nor 429 sticker on air cleaner lid. 47K orig miles

The tray is reproduced and so is the apron if needed. Ohio Mustang supply is a good source. The owner has restored several of the 71-73 cars and is very helpful. The reinforcement plate below the apron is not reproduced.

Not sure where I purchased the one for my XR7 429CJ but happy with the item and it appears to be pretty close to what it replaced though I never really did a side by side comparison
