Exhaust supports on early arvinode cars
« on: April 06, 2011, 07:30:38 PM »
Did the early Arvinode cars have the reinforcements in the rear of the frame also or did they just have the mounts for the Arvinode system?

Don't remember any interior reinforcement in the frame rail for those systems

No frame rail reinforcements as the attaching point for the frame rail hangers is further towards the front of the car.  The same rear floor reinforcements were used and the square corner snubber plate underneath.  Unfortunately, this detail was not corrected in the Hi-Po mustang book and causes confusion.

Thanks, this helps a lot, I wondered why I had everything but the reinforcements in the rear.  Then it dawned on me.  I'm going back to the Avinode system so I have some old holes to weld up!
