The Remove post button is gone!
« on: August 24, 2022, 02:44:41 PM »
It seems that Richard and I have the same issue -- we can no longer delete/remove a post.

Why?

Since it's not there I don't recall what it was called!

It used to be next to the Modify button.
Have I been breathing too many paint fumes?

Improvise. Modify your **** post by removing your **** and replacing it with "Deleted". The main reason is that "replies" are (usually) not yours, and you can't delete them.
It's the simple things in life, ain't it.

Huh?
I'm not trying to remove the posts of others. Just mine.
I used to be able to do that.

The reply to your post is attached to your post, the one you want to delete. If you remove yours, the reply has nowhere to go.

Yes, thank you.

I put it here rather than a PM is because it affected more than just me.

For those who think I inhaled a now legal substance here is the new screen shot.
Compare far right to before.

Smog?
Years ago, on a forum I contributed to, the removal/deletion of a post in a thread was as I said, more of an erasure than a removal. Better software today.

It is working now. Thanks. I also just updated my device software. I figured that fixed it but apparently others noticed this too. In any event, I was now able to clean up my mistakes in those posts.

When I update my long, multi-item For Sale ad instead of adding multiple posts with "Bump" or similar I add a new post saying "Added [item]" and then remove previous updates.
It keeps things clean and simple. Not that there's anything clean or simple with most of my posts!

I use the items for sale lists to determine a price for what I need to sell, so by you deleting them, you defeat the historical purpose of items for sale prices.
(Shame on you. No beer today, until at least 4:30PM.)

Most or few delete them and this is why I try and lock them once something is sold

What I delete are the last updates that say things "List updated to add radiator".
I then add radiator to the list (post #1).

Later, if I add another item, I add another post like "List update to add alternator" and then delete the previous radiator post. The radiator will still be in post #1 as will the newly added radiator.

I rarely bother with Bump, but if I do I delete the first bump and add a new bump.
