I ran 225/60/14 for decades and they fit fine in my trunk

recently went to 215/70/14 to be more authentic and it wont go in with the jack and handle installed.
 I have to leave it bolted and the jack next to it
my tire guy told me the 215/70/14 was closest to the F78-14s which was an option according to my door tag.
of course since they are mounted he wont take them back
