Interesting.  My 9/65 San Jose 1966 car has these, and I understood they were a 1965 detail and that the 1966 cars had tape holding down the harness.  My car also had 1965 SS wheels, both of which I assumed were just carryover details from 1965.  So what cars really got these and what cars did not?

Jim: I have found the clips used on 65-66 and also cloth tape applied over the top.  Thought I had seen them on 67-68, but all these cars seem to blend together!
