Topic: 67 6 cyl heater hose clamps

Any idea how to orient the hose clamp where the heater hose enters the front of the carb spacer?  Right now I have it pointing straight out the side under the carb.  But it barely seems to clear the carb levers.  Was there a standard orientation for these hose clamps?

Checked my pictures and of the ones where I had a shot with the air cleaner off the owners had replaced the hoses and or the clamps so they were no help.
