Welcome to this forum.  You didn't say what the interior color is. It typically depends on that . It may not be relevant in this Mach I case. For example if it is a black interior car which is one of the more common color interiors then the lower dash would be a color called dark charcoal metallic.

Sorry didn?t realize that would be a issue,  interior is dark red.

I believe the lower dash would still be dark charcoal metallic.  My car is a dark red deluxe interior San Jose car and the lower dash was black.  Although I didn't see the metallic in mine, i am assuming it was.

+1 A somewhat common mistake on early restorations was to paint the lower metal dash as well as other related parts red rather than the Dark Charcoal Metallic
