Steering wheel pad emblem
« on: March 08, 2022, 08:59:16 AM »
My current project has a nice original steering wheel emblem. I never realized how much crisper and better the original is until I compared a reproduction to the original side by side. Plus the paint on the reproduction is too thick and shiny.

It seems today that many  reproduction parts need the side by side comparison.  :(

Marty thanks for sharing. Should help others make a choice if available. Not the first part that makes a difference restoring an original verses saving a few dollars replacing with a repo if you focus is on truthfully restoring their car.  And another reason to check with people that are restoring their car and taking the reproduction route. Sure a number of originals have been tossed when this took place which could have been an opportunity for someone to pick up a few that just needed coating
