Topic: which rear view mirror is correct ?

65 convertible built in December 1964.
Should it have the "button" style or "knob" style.
Deluxe interior if that matters...

you are correct the previous owner installed the pony interior
So my dilemma is do I go with the Knob type that goes with the deluxe interior or go
period correct with the push button type ?

since the interior is already 'incorrect' does it really matter?

If asking about the interior rearview mirror, the day/nite style... it had nothing to do with the interior type, it was part of the visibility package.  Whether or not it was the rocker type or twist type depends on when the car was made, the twist type came later in '65.  Yours being a 12/64 car, it could have only had the rocker style.
