Topic: Strut Rod Frame bracket Repair

Looking for advice on trying to straighten out my LH strut rod bracket or should I punt and install a new or used one.

That's a nasty one.

If it were me I would at least give it an attempt to straighten if for no other reason to retain the original part with the date codes and factory welds. Really no place to hide the damage caused and what will be created during the attempt to repair though. Some heat and thoughtful application of force may be able to reverse some of that followed with some hammer and tool actions

If you going to replace it can be challenging to replicate the spot and wire feed welds - more the spot welds and the metal deformity that took place during that application

I'm with Jeff. Heat and beat. A good metal-bender will be capable. At least it can all be painted after straightening it.

I had one very similar and the bodyman heated it up red hot and it straightened right out with a few whacks

I agree with the above. I have straightened them that were that bad. Take your time, do not try to get it all at once.

You can probably straighten it with enough patience and heat. They are made of thick tough metal.

Smokewrench and prybars.  On the outer lip we use a big cresent wrench  closed tight on the lip and pry down or up works great that way.

For really bad bent frame metal items, a 2 foot long pipe wrench can work wonders. It does leave teeth marks though.
