Also, did not get a response on the two details about this concours ground-up restoration that had me puzzled:

No Big-Block Shock Towers
Inner headlight buckets were not painted black (real obvious on a "white" car)

Doug are you asking why these two details are present?   Only the owner or restorer likely know what they made certain choices or how features got there (shock towers for example)

Not everyone's opinion of "concours ground up restoration" is the same  ;) That can be seen everyday on EBay, BAT .........

In reality the reinforced shock towers are not big block unique, even though they are often described that way. Some small block cars had them and as seen here some big blocks cars did not.

Brass tags were installed when a car was part of the Ford fleet. The codes denote an inventory number and a useage.
