1965 HiPo 289 Special C5OF-J Ford Autolite 4100 series carburetor, 1.12 size venturi, 600 CFM, level A change, date coded 5CC, 1965 (5), March (C), third week. This is an assembly line installed carburetor, application 289 Special 271 horse power manual transmission. It is all there, manual choke, correct boosters, “M” and “BA” and correct size jets 52F and 68F. It has all the right features to make it an original HiPo carburetor, un-drilled holes and cast stop for choke. The C5OF-J came on the 1965 Mustang/GT350 (F), Fairlane (B) and Montego (C). Rebuild or use “as is”. I ran this carb for a short while until I realized the jets were too large and I re-sized back to stock. The guy I purchased it from, some time ago, told me it was set up and ran with a Paxton Supercharge. It now is back to its stock configuration. The dash pot may or may not be original to this carb, but is from the same period. I have heard that the dash pot was intended for automatic cars, but didn’t hurt to have on the manual tranny carburetors. Take a look at the pictures and ask me some question. $950. Thank you. Cory
