Topic: 67 AM radio question

I have recently inherited a 67 convertible stang.  I want to replace the AM radio that is in it for a new am/fm radio. 

What is an original am radio worth, working and in really good condition/near mint?

Just a ball park price.

I recently saw a  68 unit in perfect condition  on eBay which went for 100. If the buttons are exceptional with no pitting than maybe the price Tim mentioned. The 68 unit had the special deep cone shaped console discs, knobs and even the white cone piece on the rh stem. Didn't last long.

There's some companies that can add FM capability to the old AM radios.  Keep the original look, but get FM reception.

Consider keeping the original radio and everything else you might replace, one day you might want it back.

Sunlit is right. In 5 years you may pay double. Caspian you know someone who can turn an AM to receive FM as well. Spoke to a guy who repairs these radios and he said that can't be done. He said he could add a MP3 connection and i could run my iPod or iPhone off it. Very reasonable upgrade so I will do it to my am/fm unit.

Check in Hemming's, there are many places that can add FM.  I had this done on a '68 AM radio a couple years ago.
