Lower dash bracket
« on: October 25, 2021, 03:04:17 PM »
I have the dash and wiring installed on my son's 70' Mach 1. Unfortunately my son was the one who disassembled the dash am I am piecing things back together while he is away at basic training. The one thing I am having issues with is the lower dash bracket. I see that is mounts to the lower right MC bolt and goes to the dash but when I try to attach this to the dash, the lower heater duct is in the way? Does anyone have some pics of this bracket in place or can tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

Got a copy of the "1970 Mustang Body Assembly Manual"? Pages 34 thru 36 are a good starting point.

Hope this helps

Pictures from other threads that shows part of it from different angles

Ignore the green arrow - it was placed there for the other discussion

The following two show the original air gap between the end of that firewall floor/foot duct and the bracket

Thank you Jeff, that?s exactly what I needed. I was trying to fit the bracket on the top side of the dash not the underside. Much appreciated!
