1965 5F07C Air Cleaner and Valve Covers Correct Color
« on: October 05, 2021, 12:51:26 PM »
Wanted to make sure I painted things the correct color so I get it right the first time. From my research the Air Cleaner and Valve Covers are supposed to be GOLD and the Snorkel and Oil Cap BLACK.

My vehicle: 1965 Mustang 5F07C, Dearborn, Hardtop, C code 289-2v engine, April 12, 1965, Color Y, Trim 22, Trans 6

This is a reference pic of what I believe to be correct, if someone could please confirm! Thank you kindly

Also what about the valve cover screws? Gold, Black, or just unfinished?

Thanks for your reply! I should have mentioned I only added that photo for the reference of the colors and nothing else. Although I am going to go with the 289 cu decal sticker.

Cad plated, but a dull zinc will be close.
