Looking for: 9T02M144329 (69 Lime Gold)
« on: July 07, 2021, 12:13:53 PM »
Hello:

In midst of a long term effort to find a car that was owned in early 70s.  I know it is a long shot, but if I don't try, I have no shot.  I've posted this on a couple of the known forums and someone steered me to this site due to the knowledge at hand.

9T02M144329

Metuchen car, Late November Build.  Was Lime Gold, 4 speed, 351-4V, with factory tach.

"Last Seen by ME" in Eastern NC.  Was sold in Tarboro, NC, owned in Edgecombe County, NC and I sold it to a guy on a trade in Rocky Mount, NC probably late 1973, early 1974.

I'd like to talk regardless of condition or location if it can be found.

I'm trying DMV route, but they are limited on access due to current laws.  If nothing else, I was hoping they'd confirm if still registered and if not, "when/where LAST registered".  Again, even if a wrecked heap in the woods, I'd like to talk.  (It was NOT a show car by any stretch even when I owned.  It was 'well used', which is probably only way I could get it even back then....)

Thanks for any info.  If I can find it, I'll be back!....

Best of luck. Hard to track down cars in today's DMV legalities

Other option that some have found fruitful is to hire a investigator to see if they can trace it. Not sure if I have allot of faith in this being successful but maybe worth a few dollars and effort

These days it seems that fewer people who might be able to help will not travel into the shaded areas due to scrutiny and job security as some might have in years past goign through what would be the logical and most direct paths
