1970 firewall pad
« on: April 15, 2021, 03:15:27 PM »
My OE pad was destroyed by mice and age and Im looking for recommendations for the most authentic looking pad for my Dearborn-built Mach. A couple of different manufacturers make this pad but I want to avoid ordering all of them and sending them back. Thanks for your help.

There are none being made that look like originals. Suggest that you look up some of the threads on 69 Dearborn firewall pads and hos some of us have been able to turn some of the current crop of reproductions into something that will look and somewhat pass

Thanks for your reply, Jeff. That is exactly wha I did first of course and saw the existing posts. I wanted to inquire of there were any more recent experiences.

Haven't seen or heard any of the suppliers finding a new supplier or the present ones changing their ways. Expect that its the usual "people are buying them so why change and make them any differently" sort of mindset we see so often
