I thought about reusing our coil spring perches from our 67 NJ coupe, 289. Don't have the perches in front of me right now, but I guess from the factory they did not come with rubber for the coil spring to set on?
No. But NOS versions made in the 70s did along with other details not correct for your build.
NOS does not mean assembly line correct.
What about replacing the rubber bushings on them? Hard to do?
You have to build spacers so the metal doesn't collapse both in and out. The bent over tangs are difficult to replicate. They are painful to restore correctly, in my opinion.
Where do you purchase rebuild kits or bushings for them? Figured I'd soak them in EvapoRust to clean them up, I don't have a tumbler.
Larry's T-birds used to have originals. Other vendors offer various versions, some more accurate than others.
