66 Visibility Group include Remote Mirror?
« on: March 11, 2021, 02:17:02 PM »
I've seen some conflicting reports on whether the visibility group includes the remote LH side mirror. Car was ordered with a standard interior, currently partially converted to deluxe. I'm looking to revert to factory and am not sure what mirrors I need to be using. Any help would be appreciated

The LH remote mirror is shown as part of the Visibility Group in the "66 Ford Mustang Illustrated Facts Book" (published by California Mustang). The right hand matching mirror was extra. It "may" have been included as an option at the factory but installed at the dealership.

Thank you much for the quick reply and clarification. Is it safe to assume this remote mirror with rotunda script would be the correct application? I'm working on the assumption that the mounting holes on the body would line up with a different mirror, maybe that's not a fair assumption.

The remote mirror mounts about an inch and a half to the rear. This leaves the front hole from the standard mirror visible.
