Hello everybody,

I'm ready to install my new headliner in my 68 Fastback. I got a new set of headliner bows but unfortunately without any paint markings on them.  :(
Cause my car didn't have a headliner when I bought it I have no reference in which order or position the different bows have to be installed.

Can somebody tell me if it's possible to verify the position of the bows by their length?
Something like the longest/widest on the front and the shortest/narrowest on the rear or the other way around?
Every tip is highly appreciated!

Thanks for your time and efforts.

Best regards
Stefan

Stefan,
Welcome to the forum. A previous question on headliner bows prompted me to look up their replacement part numbers but there was no mention of length there, only the color codes (ref 60-68 Ford Car Parts, and 75 ed Ford Car Parts - aka MPC). It's possible that length information is in a Mustang "how-to" restore book. But, from what I saw in the MPC, one size does NOT fit all.

I just happen to have mine out and its the shortest towards the windshield and the longest towards the back of the car, the one left in the middle.
