A/C Condenser
« on: January 19, 2011, 02:33:42 PM »
On my 66 Car in my signature...  What A/C Condenser would you guys suggest for a concours driven restoration ?

If anyone has one or more pictures of what an original should look like, I'd appreciate it.

The Drake one has a cutout at one of the fittings.  Some have round flues with exposed 180's on each side.  Some have a channel cover over the 180's.
I'd just like to know the most accurate way to go.

Thanks

I don't have a 66 car nearby to inspect.   Would someone please post pics of what an original condenser looks like, or if anyone is around Atlanta, let me come look at yours.

I believe this is an original from my 9/65 SJ car is this helps.  Looks similar to yours to me.  I would guess that SJ and the Eastern plants could have had different suppliers, like the radiators?

Thanks Jim,

Is there any numbers anywhere stamped on yours?
