1970 had the introduction of the button release for the lid, sometime during the model year.
1970 did not have the slots for the seatbelts.
1970 did not have a cigar lighter.

Main body and insert were molded in the color. Metal sections were painted or plated

For accuracy, it should be stated that the blue console above has an automatic transmission insert. 3 and 4 speed manuals would be molded differently.
