390 water pump
« on: February 10, 2013, 08:38:34 AM »
Hi. I'm wondering if there's a high volume water pump that looks like the original for a 390 67 mustang fback?
Cheers

I know, old thread, but this is what came up in the search and the title fits, so I thought it appropriate.

I am looking at a C5AE-8505-A casting with what I believe is a 6L17 casting date. Would this be correct pump for my 1967 390? Particularly my January built coupe?

Thanks

You may be reading the date wrong or the engineering number wrong because the C5AE was superseded by the C6AE marked pump in 66 production .Your 67 therefore would have a C6AE marked pump.
