Correct exhaust manifolds 351W
« on: August 09, 2020, 11:44:26 AM »
I picked these up at a local swap meet for a very reasonable price. Owner stated that they are correct for a 1970 Mustang and Cougar with a 351 Windsor engine. Just wanted to confirm as I am seeing there is another variation of the driver side exhaust manifold for a 1970 351 Windsor. This car is a September 1969 build with a 351 2V engine and automatic transmission.
Thanks!

To add;
The passenger side manifold is stamped C9OE-9430B. The driver side manifold is stamped D0OE-9431-B.

I cant make out the date code on the C9 passenger side manifold, but the drivers side D0OE is 9M16. These are not date matched to this car (late Sept. 69' build) but close enough for it's end result, a nice driver. I am just wanting to make sure I have the correct manifolds for the 351W 2v engine. Especially if I were to order a "standard" replacement exhaust for it, ie. H pipe.
Thx

That's interesting because my early December 351W mach has a C9OE manifold with a 9L19 date code.  But your D0OE manifold looks identical.

Let me try and get a close-up of the date code on that manifold just to verify, but to me it looks like 9M16?

I assume your 351 Windsor is a 2V ?

Yes, all Windsors in the 70 model year were 2V.

I tried to clean up the date code on the driver side exhaust manifold but it’s just unreadable. It definitely says M-16 but it to me it looks like a nine for the year? Others might think it’s an eight?
