65 Console Trim Plate
« on: July 16, 2020, 09:14:28 PM »
My metal trim plate or metal insert of my console was in fair shape and I had it rechromed. What color of argent or silver paint should I use in the center ribbed area to recreate the original appearance.

Thanks

A good argent paint like they sell for the grill surround should serve you well. Most of the shops (NPD, Virginia Mustang....) should carry

Does anyone have a paint code vs a spray can?

Might want to try Motorcraft® PM19K207AA . I haven't try any lately but this and the versions before it were always close to exact IMHO. Just have not used any recently though should buy and put some back for when I need them. Check around for price - I found it ranging from $10.43 up to $20 or so on the internet. Out of stock at a number of the usual suppliers so check.
