Topic: 65 66 Fastback fold down reproduction chrome trim Quality?

What is the quality of the metal and chrome like on the reproduction fold down chrome trim and hinge? Should I re-chrome what I have?

I bought the reproduction trim and it was OK. However, the two curved sections were not the same as my originals so I had them plated in a shop. Figure on paying between $60 and $100 per piece in a chrome shop. The one I used went out of business because of state and federal regulations. They were paying about $8000 a month in recycling fees.
Be advised that the store bought kits are for a 66 and do not have a 65 type curved section front piece.
