Working on individual parts for my k code, August, Dearborn 1966 fastback restoration I recently pulled out and cleaned up the original 4 styled steel wheels I have had packed away for 30 plus years. They are 1967 – 14X5.5 units. Back in the 80’s I purchased new NOS 1967 trim rings from my local Ford parts man and packed them away waiting for the day. Now after really inspecting the wheels the chrome is not up to the quality I now want. So, I am looking to purchase Scott Drake repo styled steel wheels. The NOS 1967 trim rings I purchased back in the 80’s is the C70A1210A with the paper stickers. I recently read a past post in the Library on this forum that these service trim rings are only 2 inches wide vs. the 2 ¼ inch that original 1967 trim rings were. The poster stated that the C70A1210A NOS service trim rings are the same as the 1966 trim rings which are 2 inches wide. So, my question is if I purchase new Scott Drake 1966 styled steel wheels will the C70A1210A paper sticker trims rings that I already have work perfectly on these wheels. Thanks for the help.
