Does anyone make the “surf board” tie down hooks for the 68 convertibles? Both are missing on this car, the holes are there.

Branda use to sell them. Check to see it they still do.

You are right Bob, they do still sell them. How correct do you think they are?

I have only seen a couple pairs of originals tie downs in 30 years and they were not in great shape. coralsnakes question has to do with if the bar is a repro because the repro bars are not made to accept the tie downs. A original rollbar the repro tie downs should fit fine. remember to put the two chrome washers under the tie downs. I am not sure if they are included or not.

I've also seen them just screwed into the top surface of the factory spoiler. Never see a copy of a template or instructions that I can recall

The small washers keep "T" shape of the tie down from digging into the vinyl of the rollbar. Especially important on older less supple original roll bar vinyl.

The bar is original so the repo hooks should work, will remember on the chrome washers. Thanks guys.
