WTB: 69 Rotors or Hubs for BOSS 302
« on: February 08, 2020, 12:34:59 AM »
Hello all, looking for my May 23rd 69 BOSS 302

I need a pair of rotors or at least the hubs for a 69 B2.
I can also use KH hubs from a 68-71 Mustang in a pinch if someone has an unmolested pair.
Thank you

Phillip, I believe the DOZA-B  Boss 302 specific spindles will only work with the Boss specific hubs. If you change out to 68/69 Mustang or larger bearing 70 regular Mustang(two different spindles and two different rotors) hubs you will have to change out the spindle to ether the 68/69 regular Mustang or 70 regular Mustang spindle  . The switch out to regular Mustang spindles allows the use of regular Mustang rotors. That is what people have been doing for the decades on 69/70 Shelby and Boss cars before Branda and NPD carried the special rotors. Check your spindles and if they are the DOZA-C then that means someone has already change them out for 1970 regular Mustang spindles.

That's what I was thinking. Currently on the car are:

70 tie rods...with zerks.
DOZA 3108 Spindle
DOZA 3107 Spindle

I have the following spindles I want to put on the car:

Complete set of 69 tie rods
KXX 2413 Spindle
DOZA 3107 C Spindle...both these spindles are for a 69 i believe.

I may have found my rotors for these, I am waiting for the fellow to get back to his shop to confirm. If so, I understood I could use these KH hubs and machine them for my race. Is that not accurate?

Thanks for your help Bob!

You didn't list the suffix which tells what you have. DOZA 310-C for example is 70 regular Mustang and DOZA 3107-B is Boss 302/Shelby. What is on your car now?  FYI KXX is not the same as KKX.  Starting in March/April 1969 a KKX marked spindle was typically a early version of the B302 spindle. It was only used for a short period of time.  The KKX spindle is virtually the identical to the DOZA -B spindle which is what it evolved to . It is a cut down Boss 9 spindle I believe.  The vast majority of B302 /Shelby spindles are the DOZA-B marked spindle. The spindles you list that you want to put on the car are not Boss 302 but regular 70 Mustang. If you put those on your car you will not need Boss 302 rotors because they will not fit. The good news is that you will be able to get 70 regular Mustang rotors at most auto parts store. I would revise your wanted AD.

Thanks to all. I've found these unicorns and am well on the way to buttoning up the suspension with proper 69 BOSS 302 pieces.

Autolite "Made in Canada" shocks and proper spring perches are on the way to finalise the build!
