I’m making good progress on my 65 c code convertible. I have a couple more questions.
What finish should be on the fender bolts?
What paint markings should be on the driveshaft?
What color should the shocks be? And are there markings on them?

What finish should be on the fender bolts?

Go to the Library section and look up topic - Mustang Hardware Spreadsheet 64-66. There are two files, one by part number, the other by application. You should also look at another file - FINISH CODES Short List - for a list of finishes. The spreadsheets are keyed to the Mustang Assembly Manual series, available at most Mustang parts suppliers.
The answer is phosphate and oil.
