C6 automatic transmission tube identification
« on: June 13, 2020, 11:19:25 AM »
I am looking over a 1967 C6 transmission and cannot identify the tube on the top right side of the transmission case.  Is this a vacuum tube?  It is above the cooler line tubes, and I have seen several example where it is plugged off.  I have included a picture which shows the tube as well.  Thank you in advance for any help.

With out pulling up some other pictures it appears to possibly be a vent tube. A feature that was changed in 68. Sorry don't have any additional pictures at the moment. MPc might have a reference and an official Ford name for the tube to help

Poor picture but you can see the end of the vent at the lower left of the picture. Originally posted in a unrestored picture thread So the arrows were for identifying other tubes
