Space Saver Bottle Tie Down Spring

Can someone please advise what the finish is on the tie-down spring for the 1970 space saver tire inflator bottle.

Recall it being a phosphate (sort of flat grey plating) like finish. Sure others will double check my comment ;)

Thanks Jeff, my repro came in black paint and I did not think that was correct. I would prefer to zinc plate it but there is not a zinc plating that comes in that phosphate look, so will probably plate it in black zinc which is an off black charcoal color, and a little closer to the phosphate look.
