Topic: Interesting auction for a 65 Mustang

We don't normally post and discuss Ebay auction here but this one to me stands out as different and unusual so thought I would post it for observation.

As any member here can see there are plenty of things to comment about but what IMHO is likely getting allot of attention from the bidder is what is included in the trunk with the car. 

This thread is not to intended to be a pick apart discussion of a current ongoing auction - owner never asked for input just as a possible discussion about the possible impact of just one item in the overall value. Intentionally waited to late into the auction period.

He also labeled it a fastback many times.

The battery IS interesting. And desirable.

Note too that the car was sold in Tacoma (near me) and at the time of this car's original sale the beginning letter on the plate of "B" was correct for a Tacoma (Pierce County) sale.
If your Mustang was originally sold in Seattle (King County)  it would have an "A".

Things to keep in mind if you want to display the original and correct plate in any state and locale.

Have heard of purchasers buying cars just to get a battery similar to the one pictured to be included with the car. Wonder how many offers the seller had to just sell the battery.  Reserve was not met so I guess the bidding war will begin

I almost got to the point of buying another 67 SJ Mustang just to rob it of the dash pad and firewall pad. Replace the parts with repops and resell the car.

I can fully understand wanting to buy a car for just a few parts and then resell it.

Did that for many years back when I was buying and selling allot. Often turned a car in 24 hours after swapping out a handful of parts.  In this case this example is way over the top in comparison to the ones I did just from the value stand point

The battery in the box may be an original assembly line  based on the warming being cast into the top of the battery.

Is it fair to say the wheel arches inside the trunk area have been painted with a grey primer
Even the rubber protection strip on the left wheel arch seam appears to have paint on it?

Looks that way to me also.  They were probably scratched up from stuff tossed in the trunk and rolling into it.  Someone thought that a gray primer spray bomb would make it more presentable.
