Repro Ignition Switch
« on: May 13, 2020, 09:18:56 PM »
Purchased a repro switch (on right)
And original (on left)
Switch from ‘69 April 2nd built Cougar Dearborn

Assuming the repro is wrong for the car??

Doesn't even look like it will fit.

It fits, just has a different looking profile. I searched the web looking for '69 dashes and most have the original style insert.
The repro cylinders say '67-'69. From what I can see the repro looks like the '67-'68 originals, apparently in '69 they changed the look??

My 69 appears to have the same reveal as your original ?  Sorry thing about the repros in general.  Close is good enough.  Brian

I used the repo door locks. They looked correct. Then i just cheated and took the tumblers out of the repo switch and put them in my original ignition switch!
