I have a late September '65 1966 San Jose car and it uses the screws..?? Luck of the draw.
I was messing with the heater control panels out of my '65 (Sep '64) San Jose Fastback and '66 (Sep '65) San Jose Fastback and noticed they had different style clamps holding the cables to the control panel. The '65 has the screws and the '66 has the clips. You can see that the '66 was designed to use the screws. I guess some engineer discovered that a worker could snap the clip onto the cable in 2.7 seconds but it would take 5.1 seconds to install the screw!
Wow, I've learned something new today...I've never seen those Early Style San Jose Clip-on Heater Clamps...Thanks for the pics...and the thread!)Tony K.
