Are the reproduction blue streak Goodyear tires with raised white tires the right ones for 1966 Shelby 1102.

When did they change from blue dot to blue streaks. I don't remember white letter tires in 1966.

Yes they are reproduced. Check out Kelsey Tires website.

https://www.kelseytire.com/performance-group-1/695-14-blue-streak-rwl/ They are also available through many of the resellers (NPD, Virginia Mustang, and others) if you do a internet search

Unfortunately the Federal Government required a warning be added to the side wall of the tire - currently produced tires have this visible once tire is mounted where the early reproductions it is not

For others viewing this thread. The original tires for 6S1102 would have been the Blue Streaks with the small raised letters as shown below. No visible blue stripe on the sidewall those Blue Streaks were designed for Barracuda's ;)

Tire application coincided with the change from 15" Cragars to the 14" Magnums and 10 Spokes

We're the 66 Shelby the first production car to use white letter tires? Thanks for the information Jeff.

Don't know for sure never cared enough to take the day or so to look it up. Some other maker in the US or around the world could have beat them to that little claim to fame especially since Shelby did not start the year using them

Sort of splitting hairs in that way
