I would like to properly clean the walnut woodgrain bezels on my instrument and clock dash housings. Looking for advise on how to do a good cleaning without damaging the wood grain finish.

I have always used lemon pledge.

Since its a vinyl multi layer decal the more mild a cleaner that will not affect the adhesives the better. Agree Lemon Pledge the older aerosol if its still available sprayed on a new/clean micro fiber towel would work well. Remember the less you rub the less likely your going to damage anything including the surrounding painted or "chrome" surfaces. The Lemon Pledge will attract dust but nothings perfect it seems

I know this thread has not been commented on for over three months but I just though I would advise on what I finally did to resolve my issue. So I tried the lemon pledge and it did not remove the water marks on my original woodgrain bezels, so I had an old 1969 damaged bezel and did a test on it with Autosol metal polish liquid, applied it with a micro-fiber cloth and polished it off with a clean cloth, it worked amazingly quickly and cleanly not damaging any of the printed woodgrain. I am completely restoring my instrument speedo/tach and clock/map light clusters and had the woodgrain bezels removed to do the bezel cleaning although I am sure this method can be use on installed units.
