Topic: No running lights with headlights on

I am a little confused and wondering if this is normal. The car is stock and below describes what is happening with the lights. The question is....should the front running lights (amber) be on when the headlights are also on?

Headlights - off
Running lights - off
Turn signals - work as they should

Headlights - off
Running lights - on
Turn signals - work as they should

Headlights - on
Running lights - Not on
Turn signals - work as they should

perfectly normal IF you have a 65 or 66. would suggest you add that info to your signature or else you will be asked for it each time you post a question.

Hint: they are called "parking lights".

Same thing happens on 67 - 68. Parking lights go off when the headlights come on.

The 1970 models - the parking lights stayed on with the headlights.
