Topic: Fuel Line Clearance

Car is an early 1968 San Jose S-Code.

I'm swapping out an aftermarket twin muffler exhaust for the original style with the transverse muffler.  Clearance between the muffler and the rubber fuel line between the sending unit and main fuel line is very close to the muffler.  How much clearance should I have here?

If you look the illustration of the exhaust up in the assemblyline manual it will show you all of those dimensions. Yes it is close and from the picture that looks about right.

Mine is a little tighter than those pictures.  Unfortunately, my assembly manuals are not very good for the measurements, just too low quality to make out so I probably need another set.  Probably just tweak the bend a bit to get a little more piece of mind.  Thanks for the photos and perspectives.
