Hello, I'm very new hear, just recently acquired a 69 Mach 1 428 scj, It's in great condition and want to spend the next couple of years correcting some of mistakes the past three owners made.
I've spent time searching the site, so many great threads of great info!!!

I have a couple of questions, not sure I'm putting these in the right place but here goes, does anyone have photos of the correct connection of the lanyards under the hood for the hood pins, also was the transmission pan originally painted or bare metal?

thanks and again if I've put this in the wrong place my apologies

Ron

Ron,the C6 automatic transmission pan was bare steel. FYI they make excellent reproductions at a nominal price now in case yours is dented up.You didn't ask but thought i would include just in case that the curved inspection plate at the front of the bellhousing was painted semigloss black.

Ron it would help if you can provide when and where your car was built and possibly add them to your signature so that that info is always visible and you don't have to retype it every time. Helps allot when responding to questions and allows us to focus on details as close as possible,

Will move the thread to the 69-70 Mustang discussion section and await your cars' information. Welcome to the site

Since an SCJ would typically have the radiator support seal in place it makes clear pictures of the body end of the lanyards to the radiator support a bit more of a challenge so have included examples from non-big block examples to round out the details ;)

Location

Attaching hardware/screws

Hope this helps
