1964 Convertible Door Sill Plates
« on: August 02, 2019, 10:54:48 PM »
I know the convertible door sill plates are different than the coupes but I was wondering if the early 1965 (1964 1/2) Mustang convertible door sill plates have the square corners like the coupes?  Or are they the same plates that the later 1965 through 1968 convertibles have?

Thanks,
Mike

After searching through other posts I found the answer to my question.  Yes, they also have square corners and are different than the later cars.  I thought so but someone tried to tell me that they were the same.  My convertible has the wrong ones.  I am needing a pair of the early ones with the square corners like the one shown.

Those are very hard to find. I need a set as well for my convertible, bought a set a long time ago when I got started restoring just to learn the hard way (after purchase) that the sill plates differ between the coups and convertibles, the coups not having the lower piece that connects the sill plate and covers  over the carpet edge meeting the door.
