Topic: PS Hose Strap Holes

Pete and I were looking over my car last night and there are 2 holes on the inner tower inside the engine bay that appear to be where a Power Steering Strap was secured. Does anybody have a photo of an original strap and where it secures to the tower. I have 2 holes about 3 inches apart, one hole may not be original.

Here is a picture of 8T01C178493 only one hole is visible.  I think I have some better pictures of a San Jose car.

I have a good pic at home of a Dearborn vert 289 car with PS but it had 2 straps. One is as shown by the previous  poster and second is on the shock tower below upper control arm bolts. Will try to post tomorrow morning but that's a big if because someone finally told me how to attach a pic but haven't tried it yet. I can tell you that the straps looked unusual because the typically black rubber was white.

68 S Code is correct; the other hole is on the face of the shock tower below where the UCA bolts to the shock tower.  Sorry I can't find a better picture right now.

OK here goes trying to post this pic. My mistake as to the strap color being white. The strap is black but the edge is white. Kind of odd how they got rubber that way. Note how the strap at the front of the tower is mounted horizontally while the second is vertical.
