Correct 68 289 Distributor/IMCO Vacuum Lines
« on: May 31, 2019, 05:25:02 PM »
I just replaced the original vacuum lines on my 79,000 mile mostly original '68 289. The original lines were getting stiff at the fittings and not sealing great. The originals had solid Red, Yellow and Green lines, but the reproductions I put on have "MX" interrupting the colored line. Is there a source for correct style non-MX lines?

Thanks

Don't know if any one is reproducing the correct hoses currently. If someone is they will post. And option would be to recolor white stripped hoses if you can locate a longish section of one of those from a donor.

If you need them the routing diagrams are in an article in the Library

He'll need five different colors or stripes (or less depending on how you look at it) but it would provide a white stripe base to build from but he'll have to figure out how to get rid of the second stripe since all his applications were single stripped
