Topic: Attaching the steering column lower trim panel

I was wondering how the plastic lower trim panel, that sits between the steering column and the dash panel, is installed? Are there any bolts that go through the slot in the panel to support it - as I think I'm missing something. The Car is a Dearborn Nov 14 1969 build.

This one? If so no just the two screws that hold it onto the lower dash edge.

Isn't there the clips also on the back side to keep it tight to the dash along with the two lower screws with the large integrated washer heads like in the prior year?

You are correct Jeff and I have been able to get a pic of the bracket that intrigues me. It comes of a March 1970, Metuchen Boss and possibly a later production line addition?

I think you're right and this car must have a saggy panel and someone gave it some extra support. The confusion is that it has been done so well, that it looks normal.

Slightly off topic, but the two "tangs" on each side of the metal clip are very similar to the type of retaining method  that heater control knobs use.
