67/68 fastback rear glass measurments
« on: May 01, 2019, 01:40:09 PM »
Hello. Was wondering if anyone has an original rear fastback glass to take measurements for me. Installed a rear glass in a dynacorn body and the glass barely sits on the pinchweld lip. I realize that this is a concours forum but i thought that measuring an original would point us in the right direction. thank you...John

Did you use a rubber seal?

I would think that measuring the rear window frame width on the Dynacor body for comparison to an original would be more instructive.

RoyceP...yessir a new rubber seal.
jwc66k..yes we're doing that as well. We located an original Carlite window and it appears to be somewhat wider across the top which is where we are having the issue.

I'll let you know what transpires...i have my suspicion that it is the window.

Regards...John

Is the glass original or a modern replacement?

Modern replacement. And the manufacturers logo/writing on it is easily read standing on your head and reading it backwards ....lol..if you know what i mean.

From what i understand no reproduction glass is made in the US or Canada anymore...all overseas and Mexico.

Correct me if i am wrong on this....John
