5 bolt vs 6 bolt bell housing

Does any one have a picture of a 5 and 6 bolt bell house side by side.  Just want to see the differances

Didn't have one but found this picture on EBay last night  Not all three relate to the specific time period of this section but they do show 5 and 6 bolt bell housings. 5 Bolt on the bottom. Aluminum 6 bolt top left in the picture.

Be advised that a couple of the holes are for alignment pins sticking out from the block.

Yes it looks like someone in the past used a stud rather than a bolt, as originally used, in one of the two holes for the starter in the upper left 6 bolt example  ::)

So not only was the bell housing to engine pattern different so was the transmission to bell housing.

Judging sheets don't and almost can't include the verbage for every part that makes up the car or may make up one of the models that might complete in a specific class. Things like this can be handled in the "catch all" at the end of the major section such as Engine Compartment or Undercarriage in this case.   You often get the response during judges meetings that "no one ever get it wrong so why worry about it" sort of thing.  At SAAC we included it in the Undercarriage section when we did that rewrite since we wanted to address it.  Will leave it at that rather than get too far off thread ;)
